Family 1: John and Salome Venning

It is very likely that this is John 1806 from Antony - his mother was Salome Venning, who may well have come from St Clether, and his father Abel . He marries Salome Venning in Plymouth St Andrew in 1832.

  • daughter Jane Venning 1833 born in St Clether - IGI has her mother as Joane but nb that Salome dies within a couple of weeks, also in St Clether, probably the result of childbirth. By the 1841 census Jane was at 2 Torpoint, Coombe Park, Antony with John and Mary Hancock

Miscellaneous

  • John 1802 marries Mary Northey (1806-1872 born in Altarnun? - buried in Jacobstow) in 1837 in St Clether.
  • Simon 1813 (brother of John 1802 above) marries Rebecca Moyse in Jacobstow in 1837 but Rebecca was born in St Clether in 1814
